Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026. Name Cauldron is built to need very little data. The generator runs in your browser, and the names you stir and save stay on your device.
What stays in your browser
The names are made on your device. When you press the star to keep a name, it is saved in your browser’s local storage (up to 60 names) so it is still there when you come back. The server does not receive them, and clearing your browsing data removes them.
What the server records
Like any web server, ours writes one line in its access log for each request. A line holds five fields: IP address, time, page requested, browser string and status code. We use the log to find errors and abuse.

Cookies, analytics and ads
Name Cauldron sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics script and shows no ads.

The feedback form
If you send a note we store its time, your helpful/needs-more-stirring choice, the page address, the topic and the text (up to 1,000 characters), and keep the newest 300 notes. Please do not put personal details in the note. A one-way scrambled form of your IP address is held for 20 seconds to limit repeat sends and then discarded. To have a note removed, email [email protected].
Children
The site collects nothing that identifies a child. Children should use the feedback form only with a parent or guardian.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it or ask us to correct it by writing to [email protected]. Because we do not store accounts or names, the answer is usually that there is nothing to delete.
